Because of the interaction of the western end of Cuba and the Yucatan Peninsula, the Gulf Stream, and the natural Depth of the water and ledges, we are a very active region.

You don’t need to run long distances to get to the best fishing grounds. In just 30 minutes you can be fishing on any number of walls and structures that are just 200’ at the top and 2000’ at the bottom.

Billfish season runs from April to June and again December and January. Depending on the time of year you will see record size fish of every species:

• Blue Marlin (Marlin Azul)
• White Marlin (Marlin Blanco)
• Sailfish (Pez Vela), Tuna (Atun)
• Mahi-Mahi (Dorado)
• Wahoo (Wahoo)
• Barracuda (Barracuda).

The regional fishing tournaments are a lot of fun - with big prizes like trucks, cars and cash for the top finishers.
